Things to Do in West Kelowna

West Kelowna sits across the lake from Kelowna and is best known for the Westside Wine Trail, a concentrated cluster of wineries on the hillsides above Okanagan Lake. Valley Vibe groups West Kelowna's events with Kelowna, so the events above include both sides of the lake.

Wineries and the Westside Wine Trail

Mission Hill Family Estate, Quails' Gate, Frind Estate Winery, Grizzli Winery and Volcanic Hills Estate Winery are among the well-known stops, many with lake views, restaurants and summer concert or outdoor cinema nights. Hop-on, hop-off shuttles and guided tours run the trail in season, so you do not need to drive. See wine events in Kelowna and West Kelowna.

Outdoors and the lake

Kalamoir Regional Park and the waterfront parks along Okanagan Lake offer beaches, picnic areas and trails, and the West Kelowna Yacht Club sits on the lake. Boating, paddleboarding and hiking in the hills behind the wine trail are all popular.

Community events and sports

West Kelowna runs a summer Music in the Park series on Friday evenings, the Westbank Farmers' Market, and the Westside Daze community festival. The West Kelowna Warriors play junior hockey through the winter.
