Kelowna Events — What's On This Week

Kelowna, BC is the largest city in the Okanagan Valley — a year-round destination for concerts, wineries, festivals, sports, and outdoor activities. Whatever you're looking for tonight, this week, or this weekend, Valley Vibe tracks every public event happening in Kelowna and updates it three times a week from more than 25 event sources.

What to Do in Kelowna

The city sits on the east shore of Okanagan Lake, backed by the east-side wine benches, and anchored by a walkable downtown and a lively cultural district. From live music at Prospera Place and the Rotary Centre for the Arts to winery events at Summerhill, CedarCreek, and Tantalus, Kelowna offers something for every night of the week.

Live Music & Concerts

Prospera Place hosts major touring acts. The Rotary Centre for the Arts, Kelowna Community Theatre, and Mary Irwin Theatre run a busy calendar of classical, jazz, folk, and world music. Doc Willoughby's, Red Bird Brewing, Habit Coffee, and many other downtown venues run near-nightly live music. See the Kelowna concerts calendar.

Nightlife & Comedy

Downtown Kelowna's cocktail-bar scene, drag brunches, comedy shows at Dakoda's Comedy Lounge, and dance nights fill the calendar — browse the Kelowna nightlife page for tonight's rundown.

Winery Events

East Kelowna's benches and West Kelowna's Mount Boucherie region host year-round tastings, harvest dinners, and outdoor concerts. See Kelowna wineries and West Kelowna wineries for the wine-country slate.

Markets, Sports & Family Events

The Kelowna Farmers & Crafters Market runs Saturdays (April–October) and Wednesdays (June–September). Downtown Kelowna hosts Music in the Park, Parks Alive, and the Downtown Kelowna Association's summer series. The Kelowna Rockets (WHL hockey) play at Prospera Place from September through March. Check the Kelowna farmers markets and family events pages.

Kelowna by Season

Summer is peak festival season — outdoor concerts, food trucks, wine events, beaches, and the Peach City Beach Cruise (Penticton, easy day trip). See Kelowna summer events.

Fall brings harvest, crush parties, wine festivals, Halloween events, and the start of hockey season. See Kelowna fall events.

Winter — Christmas markets, light shows, Nutcracker performances, and ski events at Big White. See Kelowna Christmas events and New Year's events.

Spring — blossom season in the wine country, Easter events, and the ramp-up to summer festivals. See Kelowna spring events.

Getting Around Kelowna

Downtown Kelowna is walkable. Kelowna Regional Transit runs bus service across the city. For wine touring, most visitors either book a guided tour or hire a designated driver. Kelowna International Airport (YLW) connects to major Canadian cities and Seattle.
